With great energy, enthusiasm, and a festive atmosphere, the ninth edition of the school magazine “Road Safety” was successfully concluded through the organization of the National Scooter Riding Competition, dedicated to first-grade students from five elementary schools across various cities in Kosovo.
The closing activity of the annual educational campaign for road safety was held in the schoolyard of “Naim Frashëri” Elementary School in Pristina and brought together children, teachers, parents, and representatives from partner institutions.
Opening remarks were delivered by:
Prof. Muhamed Krasniqi, Director of Tempulli College
Lieutenant Colonel Jeton Rexhepi, representative from the Kosovo Police
Ms. Merita Haxhiu, Principal of the host school “Naim Frashëri”
Mr. Samir Shahini, Director of the Municipal Directorate of Education in Pristina, joined the organizers in presenting the awards, recognitions, and certificates.
19 children participated in the competition, representing the following five elementary schools:
Pristina
Ferizaj
Peja
Obiliq
Fushë Kosovë
The children demonstrated commitment, skill, and adherence to basic road safety rules, proving that road safety education can be both instructive and fun.
After a tight competition, the professional jury announced the top three winners:
First Place: Erand Musolli, SHFMU “Daut Bogujevci” – Fushë Kosovë
Second Place: Liana Uksmaili, SHFMU “Jeronim de Rada” – Ferizaj
Third Place: Lior Osmani, SHFMU “Daut Bogujevci” – Fushë Kosovë
The winners were awarded medals, certificates, scooters, and helmets.
This activity is clear proof that road safety education must begin at an early age and involve all stakeholders—schools, state institutions, and non-governmental organizations—to ensure a safer future on our roads.
A heartfelt thank you to all participating schools, teachers, parents, partner institutions, and everyone who contributed to the successful realization of this special edition!
