Profesor Arif Krasniqi 
(February 9 1946 - August 13 2010)

Traffic is the lifeblood of the economic system of every country, including Kosovo, and it is the main carrier of change and continuous development of the country. The circulation routes of this lifeblood are the road, rail, sea, postal, and air arteries.”

Prof. Arif Krasniqi has made numerous contributions to the academic and professional field through books, scientific articles, conferences, and symposiums.

Education and Academic Career:

  • 1976 – Completed the Technical High School in the field of road traffic, in Zagreb, Croatia.

  • 1987 – Completed the first cycle of nine-semester studies at the Faculty of Traffic Sciences, specializing in road traffic, at the University of Zagreb.

  • 1988 – Simultaneously completed studies in railway traffic at the same university.

  • 2008 – Finished the second cycle of studies (Master's) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Traffic, at the University of Pristina, with the thesis "Use of terminals for goods circulation in Kosovo."

  • 2009 – Completed a second Master's degree at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Department of Pedagogy, at the State University of Tetova, with the thesis "The role of the school in educating students about proper behavior in traffic."

  • 2010 – At the Technical Faculty of "St. Clement of Ohrid" University in Bitola, his doctoral dissertation titled "Modeling of mechanization processes in cargo terminals in Kosovo and increasing efficiency in transportation" was approved. Due to his premature death, he was unable to complete the defense of his doctorate.

Professor Arif Krasniqi remains an unforgettable figure for his exceptional contributions to Albanian education, technical sciences, and the development of traffic culture.

His Mark in Albanian Education and Traffic Culture:

  • Long-time lecturer (1970–1990) at the Pristina Driving School (SHAM).

  • Teacher of professional traffic courses at the "28 Nëntori" Technical High School in Pristina.

  • 1996: One of the initiators for the establishment of the road traffic profile at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Pristina.

  • 2001: Founder of Tempulli College, the first officially recognized private institution in higher education in Kosovo.
