Dr. Sc. Mevlan Bixhaku

Dr. Sc. Mevlan Bixhaku is a road safety specialist with over 20 years of experience. He is locally known and has collaborated with international organizations in the development of urban mobility plans and transport planning, leading important urban mobility projects in many municipalities of Kosovo.

Furthermore, Mevlan Bixhaku’s deep understanding of open data in road safety, including its management and ensuring fairness, is a testament to his commitment to this field. His active participation in numerous international and national road safety projects, focusing mainly on indicators and performance assessment, further emphasizes his commitment.

In addition to his role as a teacher at the “Tempulli” Academy, in his professional capacity, Mevlan has also been engaged with various local and international companies, such as GTZ, Mott MacDonald, Grant Thornton, Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, UNDP, UN-Habitat Kosova. , and the World Bank. He has played a key role in numerous professional projects in Kosovo, including areas such as traffic safety, urban planning, road design, and sustainable urban plans (SUMP), among others.

The Institute for Road Safety and Transport Research, through research, leads to the discovery of new knowledge and innovative technologies that can be applied to practical problems. Research is aligned with the first pillar in the organizational structure of Tempulli and provides part of the commercial income, further strengthening the financial sustainability of the Temple.

 

Through our network of research collaborations, we facilitate exchange programs for researchers and students, fostering research collaborations with universities, industry, business, government, non-profit organizations and other communities, allowing for a combination of specialized approaches and interdisciplinary innovation.
