Driving instructor

"Driver instructor" is the person authorized to train candidate drivers from the practical part for the relevant category.

 

The driver instructor trains the driver's license candidates for the respective categories of vehicles, teaching/practicing them on safe behavior in traffic. The driver instructor trains candidates in safe driving skills according to traffic rules and signs. The driving instructor sits next to the candidate and explains to the candidate the driving technique, the use of active and passive equipment, the use of the vehicle's transmission equipment, etc. The driver instructor has the duty to train and educate the candidates for cultured behavior and actions on the road, showing a positive attitude towards other traffic participants.

 

Conditions for competition in driving instructor education:

  • Age – at least twenty-five (25) years old;

  • Medical certificate;

  • Letter notification;

  • Secondary school preparation;

  • Possess a category B driver's license for at least five (5) years;

  • Certificate of criminal status, proving that the candidate is not under investigation or convicted of a criminal offense for more than six (6) months of imprisonment.

 

After completing the driver's instructor education, the candidate must apply to obtain a "driver's instructor's license". The license is a public document issued by the relevant Ministry of Transport, which proves the right to train candidates as a driver from the practical part.
